Georgia's Of Montreal are set to bring their celebrated fusion of psychedelic grooves and indie rock to the Metro in Chicago at the start of December.
The six-piece, who hail from the city of Athens - which also gave the world a host of other bands, including REM - are on the road promoting their 11th studio release and are set to take to the stage of the Metro on Sunday December 9th.
As with their previous tours, the band's latest series of shows will see them push the boundaries in terms of both noise and lighting, with tickets all-but-guaranteed to sell out weeks in advance.
Notably, the Of Montreal gig will be part of a series of concerts celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Metro - with the concert hall not the only Chicago institution celebrating a landmark birthday in 2012.
The Millennium Knickerbocker Hotel Chicago - widely-regarded as one of the finest of all Chicago hotels - is celebrating its 85th anniversary, with guests invited to learn more about its fascinating history online.
