Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds are set to headline the Chicago Theatre at the start of April on the only Midwest date of their current US tour.
The band's first Chicago appearance in five years will take place on Monday April 1st, coming shortly after the release of their latest album Push the Sky Away.
Recording sessions for the new LP took place at a 19th century mansion in the south of France, where the walls of the main studio are adorned with a dazzling selection of classic vinyl.
Discussing the process of creating Push the Sky Away, Cave said: "I enter the studio with a handful of ideas, unformed and pupal; it's The Bad Seeds that transform them into things of wonder."
Tickets for the Chicago Theatre date are on sale now, priced between $30 and $75.
For accommodation close to the venue, gig-goers should look no further than the Millennium Knickerbocker Hotel Chicago.
