See two dance world premieres in Chicago
From 16 November 2012 To 17 November 2012Address
Harris Theatre for Music & Dance, 205 East Randolph Street, Chicago, IL 60601, United States
Chicago's Harris Theatre should be one of the first ports of call for anyone looking to see some high-class classical dance events this winter.
On November 16th and 17th, the venue will be holding some special shows to celebrate the 20th anniversary of artistic director Frank Chaves.
However, Chaves and the Harris are clearly looking to the future when they bring two of the most modern and compelling contemporary dance acts to Chicago. The two world premieres will see a powerful group piece choreographed by Adam Barruch and another solo display from Nejla Yatkin.
These two headlining performances will be joined by others from Chaves plus Robert Battle and Daniel Ezralow.
Both of the shows do not start until 8:00 p.m. CST so it could be a good idea to stay near to the Harris.
The Millennium Knickerbocker Hotel Chicago is ideal for this purpose, as it is just a short five-minute drive away from the celebrated venue.
