Open-air performances of A Midsummer Night's Dream in Chicago

A Midsummer Night's Dream is one of Shakespeare's most enduringly popular tales. This comedy of confused lovers, hapless actors, and the king and queen of the fairies has been making audiences chuckle for centuries, and it's always exciting to see what new performances will bring to this colourful tale.
If you're visiting Chicago next month, you can do exactly that, as this is the play selected for the 2014 Chicago Shakespeare in the Parks season. From July 18th to August 17th, this production will be put on each night in parks throughout the city.
It's not too late to arrange a trip to coincide with August's final four performances, which take place at South Shore Cultural Center and Eckhart Park on August 14th, 15th, 16th and 17th.
