It can be tricky to find child-friendly activities when visiting a big city, but guests at Chicago hotels should not have this trouble.
The metropolis is home to the popular Children's Museum - and although permanent exhibitions are going on all the time, there is not long left to catch a very special one.
Unboxed: Adventures in Cardboard closes on May 5th and it is based around the fact that kids just love boxes and packaging.
They are invited to make their own cardboard creations from scraps in the Cardboard Studio, explore the Box Maze and even relax while sitting on the Box Giant's lap in Tiny Town.
Children of all ages are welcome and the exhibition is completely free with museum admission.
It is easy to get to the Children's Museum from the Millennium Knickerbocker Hotel Chicago - just take the number 66 bus from in front of the Children's Hospital and get off at the Navy Pier Terminal, which will take just under 15 minutes.
Explore the wonderful world of bioluminescence at the Field Museum.
Visitors to Chicago Field Museum can learn about fracking at a new exhibition.
