See Asleep at the Wheel in rare intimate gig in Buffalo
From 12 May 2013 To 12 May 2013Address
Sportsmen's Tavern, 326 Amherst Street, Buffalo, NY 14207
After being around for more than 40 years, Asleep at the Wheel have proven to be nothing like their moniker when it comes to making music.
The western-swing, boogie and roots band have released an amazing 26 albums, toured almost endlessly and won nine Grammy Awards since first forming in West Virginia in 1970.
Although they mostly play larger venues, guests at Buffalo hotels can see Asleep at the Wheel in a rare intimate gig at the city's Sportsmen's Tavern on May 12th.
The band insisted they had to stop off at what they described as the "honkiest, tonkiest beer joint in town", so the resulting gig is sure to be well worth watching.
Anyone who wants to buy tickets may have to be quick though, as there are only a few left at $60.
Residents of the Millennium Hotel Buffalo can reach the venue in around 12 minutes by car, so taking a taxi may be the best way to get to and from the concert.
