The city of Boulder in Colorado will offer some unique and unforgettable experiences this summer when it hosts a festival dedicated to the discipline of aerial dance.

Organisers of the Aerial Dance Festival have announced that the 2012 edition of the event is tentatively scheduled for 29th July to 11th August.

Book a hotel in Boulder and head to the Aerial Dance Studio at 3022 Sterling Circle to make the most of an opportunity to experience "the joy of dancing in the air".

Everyone from beginners to advanced practitioners of the art are welcome to sign up for the two-week programme, which encompasses classes, lectures, demonstrations, informal discussions, networking and performances.

Visitors have the option of attending for one week or both.

The festival is organised by Frequent Flyers Productions, which focuses on integrating ground-based and aerial movements and transforming physical skills into a form of artistic expression.

Founded more than 20 years ago, the company describes itself as Colorado's pre-eminent aerial dance-theatre group.
