The American Civil War between 1861 and 1865 has left an indelible mark on the nation's psyche and details about the conflict still fascinate most people.

Discover Mount Auburn: The Civil War is a walking tour that aims to fascinate participants with information about how some of the people buried there were involved in the battles.

There is a chance to see the poignant monuments to those who made the ultimate sacrifice on the front lines, as well as the ways in which the war left its mark on the surrounding landscape.

It will take place on the afternoon of May 18th and costs just $10, so could be the perfect way to bring American history to life.
