Celebrate the Summer Solstice in Boston
From 21 June 2013 To 21 June 2013Address
Harvard Museum of Natural History, 26 Oxford Street, Cambridge, MA 02138
The Summer Solstice occurs on June 21st in 2013 and is the day of the year with the longest period of daylight.
For this reason, it is marked by a number of religions and other groups because of its connotations with fertility, although many people simply choose to make the most of it because they know the nights will soon be drawing in again afterwards.
Guests at Boston hotels can celebrate this transitional day at Harvard Museum of Natural History, which will be marking the event with an evening of live music, food, hands-on activities and free admission.
From 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. EDT, attendees will be able to look around all the different exhibits and take in the carnival atmosphere, so it is something not to be missed for people of all ages.
There is free parking in the nearby 52 Oxford Street Garage and guests at the Millennium Bostonian Hotel Boston can get there very easily by road, which will take just 15 minutes.
Goo Goo Dolls will play in Boston next month.
The Magnificent Mile Shopping Festival will take place in August.
Boston Arts Festival will take place at the end of August.
Boston Calling Music Festival will take place in September.
