There are few better places in the US to spend the time around St Patrick's Day than Massachusetts and anyone staying in Boston Hotels will be in the ideal position to see Dropkick Murphys special gig.

The full line-up for the March 15th show at the TD Garden has been announced and as well as the headliners it will feature Black 47, The Mahones and Old Man Markley, while the acoustic stage will include sets by old brigade, Brian McPherson and Sun Cooked.

Speaking about performing their latest material Murphys' bassist and co-lead singer Ken Casey said: "We had such a great time writing our last album - Going Out In Style - we were excited to get back into the studio right away."

Anyone who is unfamiliar with Massachusetts or has never been to the area before could choose to stay at the Millennium Bostonian Hotel Boston, as it will really simplify the travel arrangements.

The distance between the two venues is only a mile and the walk along John F Fitzgerald Surface Road takes just 12 minutes.
