Red Hot Patriot comes to Anchorage
| Date | From 12 October 2012 To 21 October 2012 |
| Address | Alaska Center for the Performing Arts Inc, 621 West 6th Avenue, Anchorage, AK 99501, United States |
The Cyrano's Off Center Playhouse in Anchorage will be playing host to Red Hot Patriot - a one-woman play about Molly Ivins.
She was a witty and much-admired political columnist who died four years ago - and this could be the perfect night's entertainment for people travelling to Anchorage at the height of the political season.
A series of projections will guide audiences through Ivins's life, which helps to turn a passionate and profound one-act piece into a call to arms.
People are encouraged to stand up against corporations that exert influence and control over governments, thereby standing up for freedom and true democracy.
This limited run opens on October 12th and carries on until the 21st - and tickets cost $18.50, with concessionary rates available.
Residents at the Millennium Alaskan Hotel Anchorage will find that they are a short, 15-minute drive away from the venue - and jumping in a taxi is not an issue.
