Alaska Center for the Performing Arts Inc, 621 West 6th Avenue, Anchorage, AK 99501, United States
Visitors to Anchorage will not want to miss out on a performance by local band Pamyua when they hit the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts on October 16th and 17th.
The quartet will be celebrating the release of their latest CD, which is entitled Side A/Side B.
Their sound is defined by a soulful mixture of Inuit drumsongs that distinctively blends ancient music and dance traditions from the Arctic with more contemporary forms.
R&B, world music, gospel, reggae and jazz are just some of the genres that are fused in this fashion - and this is reflective of the group's highly diverse musical heritage.
Entry for the show costs less than $20 and the shows will be getting underway at 7:30 p.m. CDT.
The Millennium Alaskan Hotel Anchorage could be the ideal place for visitors to the city to stay, as it only takes ten minutes to get to from the venue in a car or taxi.
