Alaska Center for the Performing Arts Inc, 621 West 6th Avenue, Anchorage, AK 99501, United States
A Gulag Mouse, a daring evening of theater written by Arthur Jolly, is heading to Anchorage in late March for a brief run at the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts.
Starring Morgan Mitchell, Danielle Rabinovitch, Tamar Shai, Jill Sowerwine, Aaron Wiseman and Annia Wyndham, the show tells the story of Anastasia, who is thrown into Stalin's Gulag following a violent act of self-defense.
Anastasia and her counterparts in the prison camp struggle for power in a production filled with the black humor, mystery and suspense of one of the harshest situations in modern history.
In a statement, the promoters commented: "Will these five women choose to live or merely survive? How far are they willing to go to answer that question?"
A Gulag Mouse runs from Friday March 29th to Sunday April 7th. Evening performances start at 8:00 p.m. AKST, while afternoon matinees begin at 3:00 p.m. on certain days.
Theater-goers seeking accommodation close to the venue should look no further than the Millennium Alaskan Hotel Anchorage.
