News|James Bond Island is thrillingThe bay, between Phuket and Krabi, is full of islands and one of the most famous is James Bond Island, where the 1974 Bond film The Man with the Golden Gun, starring Roger Moore as James Bond and Christopher Lee as the villain Scaramanga, was filmed. However, there are actually two islands which make a claim for the title of James Bond Island. The one which is generally given the title is Koh Khao Phing Kan, meaning Island of the Leaning Mount, which is where the location shooting of the film was done. However, the other claimant is a very small island called Koh Tapu, which means Nail Island. This is where, in the film, Scaramanga hid his massive laser weapon and is one of the most photographed spots in all of the national park.
