Revellers who want to experience a full moon party in a slightly tamer environment could do much worse than going to one of the trance parties at Concept CM2 in Bangkok.

The monthly parties have been running since 2001 and aim to replicate the famously crazy events that happen all over Thailand in places like the island of Koh Phangan – but with a slightly more organised feel to the night's proceedings.

Entrance is free and the party rages from 19:00 to 02:00 in the club, which is located on Soi (street) six.

The street is a ten-minute walk from Siam Square station, which is available via the skytrain.

For party-goers who need a Bangkok hotel – which they may never end up sleeping in of course – the five-star Grand Millennium Sukhumvit Bangkok is just 30 minutes drive from the new Suvarnabhumi Airport.

It is also adjacent to a skytrain station, allowing an easy journey before the fun-filled night ahead – but as trains only run till midnight a taxi will be required on the way home.
