Holidaymakers checking into a Bangkok hotel will be able to enjoy a multicultural celebration later this month.

On September 29th the Banyan Tree, Bangkok will host a Jubilee Dinner for the Singapore Club of Thailand between 18:30 and 21:00 giving visitors a chance to learn more about the two countries' relations.

Listings website Eventful says that the social club is celebrating a quarter of a century of the club supporting Singaporeans in Thailand.

The evening will feature a dinner and proceeds from the ticket price will go towards Chiangrai Schools, helping to build dormitories where female students and teachers can stay "for safety reasons".

According to the club, more than 100 people have already signed up to attend the event, while those who are busy in the evening may want to enjoy their 31st golf meet of the year at Lakewood on September 11th.

It will be the organisation's final golfing event of the year.
