Saving the environment is a hot topic at the moment and you can make your contribution by heading to the Alternative Building Materials exhibition in Bangkok.

Visitors to this event can marvel at some of the exciting new materials that have been created with comfort in mind.

However, the most innovative thing about the products is that they were created using both local materials and recycled waste, meaning they help the environment in two different ways.

Some of the materials on show include wood plastic composite, cellulose insulation and rice hull-clay composite block.

They are cheap to produce, save on energy and last for a long time, as well as being useful in various construction disciplines, making them truly environmentally friendly.

So make sure you head to the Alternative Building Materials exhibition in Bangkok and who knows, you might just see the materials of the future.

The show runs until November 23rd in the TCDC Emporium.
