Metal giants Cradle of Filth play New York

Date From 22 February 2013 To 22 February 2013
Address Irving Plaza, 17 Irving Pl, New York, NY 10003, United States

Cradle of Filth are an extreme metal band who were formed in 1991 in Suffolk across the Atlantic in the UK.

They have secured their place in the history of the genre by adhering to the principals of Norwegian black metal, at the same time as bringing a newfound respectability to the genre.

Debut album The Principle of Evil Made Flesh was released to acclaim in 1994 - but 1996's Dusk... And Her Embrace is still held up as an absolute classic.

The Manticore and Other Horrors is their latest effort - and the band are currently on the road in support of the release.

On February 22nd, they are due to travel to New York to play a gig at the city's Irving Plaza.

Entry is an absolute bargain at $26 - and residents at the Millennium UN Plaza Hotel will be able to get to the venue in less than ten minutes by jumping in a cab.
