This year's Penang Pesta Expo is to start early but don't worry - there is still time to get a Penang hotel.

Entrance will be free for the first ten days of the carnival, which runs from September 20th until October 31st, with children under 12 getting free entrance for the whole time.

It is usually only held in December but this year the organisers decided to have it at two different dates.

The Penang Pesta Expo will have something for everyone, with a paintball arena for those that like a bit of rough and tumble and an exhibition of exotic animals for nature lovers.

Around 550 stalls will be set up with over 200 types of local food on offer, meaning there is something for the culinary-minded too.

So make sure you plan your Malaysian trip to include the Penang Pesta Expo.
