Home to one of the largest collections of toys in the world, the Toy Museum exhibits approximately 100,000 items, which include dolls, action figures, toys and other collectibles. Some of the toys found here have been manufactured with great attention to detail and are several decades old. The owner of the venue, Loh Lean Cheng is said to have started collecting toys for the purpose of establishing a museum after his trip to London where he was able to visit the London Toy and Model Museum.

Loh Lean Cheng was 19 years old when he thought of opening his own toy museum in Penang, and now, more than 3 decades later, the collection has grown quite dramatically into an impressive selection loved by most who take the time to visit. The entire facility covers an area of 650 square meters and is divided into a number of different sections such as the Chamber of Horrors, the Chamber of Fantasy, Fields of Combat, Chamber of Comic Book Heroes, Hall of Virtual Reality, Star War Collections and Hall of Celebrities.
