News|Tenement Talks uncovering New YorkThe ongoing series of events - held at the museum which served as a real tenement building for immigrants in Manhattan's Lower East Side after being constructed in 1863 - will next occur on April 2nd. On that date, Kat Long will be talking about New York's often-taboo sexual history over the past 100 years. Forbidden Apple: A Century of Sex and Sin in New York City will see the expert discussing developments involving brothels, burlesque and sex in the Big Apple throughout the 20th century. Then on April 7th, poet Stephen Wolf will be at hand to celebrate National Poetry Month with several readings from Whitman, Ginsberg and other modern writers.
