Guests at the Millennium UN Plaza Hotel New York could head to Madison Square Garden next month in order to see some of the world's biggest pop acts.

The venue is to host z100's Jingle Ball 2009, an annual event that celebrates the festive season with music as well as raising money for good causes.

This year's charity is Food Bank For NYC and a proportion of the money from all the tickets sold will go to the benevolent foundation.

Meanwhile, stars like Taylor Swift, John Mayer, The Fray and Jordin Sparks will all be out in force to entertain fans.

The ball will take place on December 11th 2009.

For another festive event in the Big Apple, Cirque de Soleil's Wintuk could be ideal. It is to run until January 3rd 2010 at the WaMu Theater at Madison Square Garden and could be great for families with small children.
