British festival organizer All Tomorrow's Parties (ATP) has announced the line-up to its first
ever east coast event, which takes place at New York's Kutshers Country Club between September 19th
and 21st.
ATP festivals are considered some of the best in the world because they allow a small group
of visitors to see bands chosen by the musicians themselves in intimate surroundings.
This year, ATP has outdone itself with the New York line-up, which is curated by British
shoe-gaze legends My Bloody Valentine, returning to the US for the first time in 16 years.
Dinosaur Jr, Yo La Tengo, Mercury Rev, Meat Puppets, Tortoise, Low, Thurston Moore (of Sonic
Youth fame), Shellac, Mogwai, Les Savy Fav, A Silver Mt Zion and Gemma Hayes are all among the
towering line-up
As well as attracting one of the greatest assortments of modern alternative rock bands ever
to be assembled in the same place, ATP New York also provides visitors with the chance to discover
previously unheard of bands, discovered by the artists themselves.
