News|Celebrate the city's waterfronts in New YorkTaking place at the Museum of the City of New York, the show, entitled The Edge of New York: Waterfront Photographs, will display 42 works by a variety of artists. In an exhibition that may appeal to art lovers staying at the Millennium UN Plaza Hotel, historic photographs such as those taken by Berenice Abbott, Andreas Feininger and David Robbins will appear alongside more contemporary visions of the area. These feature images of piers and shipping facilities at the peak of the port's operations throughout the 1930s and 1940s. More recent artists' work on display will be Diane Cook and Len Jenshel, whose work conveys the renewal of the shoreline and the dilapidated remnants of the area's past. People will be able to see the exhibition from September 5th to November 29th this year. While at the museum, people will able to get a glimpse of the past, present and future of the city as the institution celebrates the heritage and diversity of New York.
