Fans of the Lord of the Rings trilogy may be pleased to hear they will be able to hear all their favourite tunes from the films live in a new concert.

A live orchestra will perform Howard Shore's complete score to a screening of the Fellowship of the Ring at New York's Radio City Music Hall.

The 21st Century Orchestra, the Collegiate Chorale and Brooklyn Youth Chorus will perform the rendition of the Academy Award-winning composition. It will be conducted by Ludwig Wicki.

People staying at the Millennium UN Plaza Hotel in the city may wish to integrate the show into their stay.

The Lord of the Rings trilogy is comprised of the Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers and Return of the King and was originally written by J R R Tolkein and adapted for film by Peter Jackson, winning four Oscars.

It follows hobbit Frodo Baggins as he embarks on a perilous journey to rid Middle Earth of the one ring, coveted by the dark lord Sauron.
