Japanese Festival set for Labor Day weekend in St Louis

Date From 31 August 2013 To 02 September 2013
Address Missouri Botanical Garden, 4344 Shaw Ave, St Louis, MO 63110

Labor Day is a popular time for families to get out and about and enjoy activities together and many attractions host special events to coincide with it.

This is the case for visitors to St Louis hotels, who will be able to attend the annual Japanese Festival at the Missouri Botanical Garden from August 31st to September 2nd this year.

It aims to celebrate the history, culture and people of Japan and is one of the oldest festivals of its kind in the entire country, having originated in 1977.

There will be taiko drumming, martial arts displays, art, food and much more for attendees to enjoy, all for the bargain price of a $15 entry fee for adults and $5 for children.

Since the event takes place in the gardens, a candlelit walk among the flowers could be the perfect way to finish off a visit.

Residents of the Millennium Hotel St Louis will find they can reach the Botanical Garden in just eight minutes by road, so hopping in a taxi could be the ideal way to get there.
