Enjoy National Day in Oman this November

Date From 01 November 2012 To 30 November 2012
Address Various, Oman

Situated in south-west Asia on the coast of the Arabian Peninsula, the state of Oman is getting more and more popular as a tourist destination thanks to its wadis, deserts, mountains and beaches, with the latter among the cleanest in the area.

There are cultural landmarks such as forts, towers, city walls and castles for history buffs to enjoy, while those who like a good bargain will be in their element in the numerous souks selling everything from jewellery to shoes.

Adventure-seekers will also find plenty to do in Oman, with activities on offer including sand skiing, scuba diving and trekking.

November is generally seen as a good month to visit Oman hotels because the temperature dips a little from the oppressive heat of the summer.

It is also an excellent opportunity to find out how other cultures live, because this is the month that the state celebrates National Day.

Although the day itself is November 18th 2012, the festivities go on for all four months to commemorate the birthday of Sultan Qaboos and you will see streets decorated with hundreds of lights and pictures.

Tourists can enjoy everything from traditional food and street fairs to fireworks and performances involving camels, so it would be well worth timing a stay in the Millennium Resort Mussanah, Oman to coincide with the event.
