The Phuket International Blues Festival is one of the most anticipated events in Thailand. Showcasing the ability of regional and local talent, the festival has gained significant appreciation for staging a musical extravaganza that is on par with the rest of the world.

Regarded as one of the foremost festivals in Phuket, the International Blues Festival was launched in December 2005 and has since transcended into international prominence, featuring internationally recognised artistes from around the world, in addition to local talent.

Every year, the festival organises a stellar line-up of popular artistes to perform in front its large crowds, crafting the perfect harmony of blues and acoustic music. The diversity of the musical acts is perhaps the festival's most distinguishing characteristic, having included the likes of John Mayer, Mason Ruffner, Curtis Salgado and the Prodigal Sons in its impressive portfolio. Other artistes who have featured on previous editions include Rick Harper, Richard Clapton, George Cordeiro & The Fai Jang Blues Gang, KNiKi, Charlie Musselwhite, The New Machine Plays Pink Floyd and Jim Paxton & Stuart Bush.
