France has been responsible for some of the finest literature of all time, with artistes from the likes of Gustave Flaubert, Emile Zola and Honore de Balzac delighting readers from the 19th century to the present day.
Paris still has a rich literary history and one event that will be celebrated this year is the Salon du Livre et Papiers Anciens antique book fair will be held at the Place des Ternes between 2nd to 11th March.
Around 120 collectors from all over France will bring their old books, engravings, manuscripts, autographs, prints, stocks and bonds, press and even old postcards to the event so there is the potential for a real discovery.
The entrance fee for the event is just €10.00 and food and refreshments are available on site.
Getting to the event is easy, even in a city as busy as Paris.
The Millennium Hotel Paris Opera is just 3.5 km away and a taxi trip will only take ten minutes.
The Mus�e d?Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris will be putting on a retrospective of work by Lucio Fontana until August 24th 2014.
From June 24th to September 28th, the Mus�e d'Orsay in Paris will be showing The Four Parts of the World fountain sculpted by Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux.
2014 sees the city of Paris celebrate the 12th edition of the Cinema Festival, taking place from July 5th to 12th.
Film fans should head to Paris next month.
