Anyone vacationing in New York this month should try to stop by the Hilton Theatre for a hilarious slice of Broadway gold.

After a successful run in Seattle last year and a heap of critical acclaim, The New Mel Brooks Musical: Young Frankenstein is enjoying a terrifying residency at the theatre.

Based on the hilariously frightful 1974 film starring Gene Wilder, the musical has enjoyed great success over the last year, picking up the 2008 Outer Critics Circle Award and the Broadway.com Audience Award for Best Musical.

From the creators of Broadway smash-hit The Producers, Young Frankenstein is a re-imagining of the horror classic, which sees a young Dr Frankenstein attempting to create his own monster.

With music and lyrics by the great Mel Brooks himself, along with five-time Tony-winning director and choreographer Susan Stroman and three-time Tony-winning writer Thomas Meehan, this production is sure to become a modern classic.

Tickets are on sale throughout December and next year, ranging from $60 to $120 in price.
