News|Watch tamed stallions perform in NYCThe group, including tamed horses and their riders, are performing as part of its 40th Anniversary Tour at Madison Square Gardens on Saturday October 17th. Entitled Dancing With Horses, the show will feature new music and choreography as part of the routines, as well as an insight into the historical background of the Lipizzan breed of horses. The show will emulate the Spanish Riding School of Vienna, in its traditional, but exciting performance. A highlight of the show is the Airs Above the Ground segment, in which spectators will be able to see the leaps and maneuvers once used in the battlefield. "When you see the Lipizzans perform, it is like stepping back four hundred years and viewing one of the greatest equine ballets in history," the group's website attests. This breed of horse is rare and unique, according to the site, and was the focus of Walt Disney film The Miracle of the White Stallions.
