While on holiday in New York this month, visitors may like to head to the Beacon Theatre to catch Snow Patrol in action.

The band will be performing at the venue on September 22nd and 23rd and will be supported by Plain White T's.

Fans, who may include those hoping to book a room at the Millennium Broadway Hotel, will be able to see renditions of the group's hits, including Run, Chasing Cars and Signal Fire.

Music lovers will be able to enjoy their favourite tunes in the restored venue that first opened in 1929 and was the brainchild of Samuel "Roxy" Rothafel.

The band hit the big time in 2003 with the release of their first commercially successful album Final Straw, going on to release Eyes Open in 2006 and A Hundred Million Suns last year.

Meanwhile, Plain White T's are an American punk band, who are best known for their track Hey There Delilah, for which they received a Grammy award in 2008.
