News|New York's Whitney to host Dan Graham expoThe institution is hosting a retrospective display of the works of Dan Graham, a renowned artist who started his career in 1964. Keen to reject the high-end style of art at the time, he embraced performance art and interaction with audiences, also producing pieces that appeared in magazines at the time. "I love magazines because they are like pop songs - easily disposable, dealing with momentary pleasures," Graham once said, according to the museum's website. There will also be paintings, videos and films and music pieces on show at the Whitney for visitors to enjoy. Dan Graham: Beyond will be showing until October 11th within the museum's premises on Madison Avenue. A piece of art designed by Graham is currently on show in the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden.
