News|Hurricane set to debut in New YorkSet in Rhode Island in 1938, it tells the story of a storm which devastated New England. Steven Booth plays the lead role of Charlie Perkins, a meteorologist with unconventional methods who sees his warnings about the storm go unheeded. As well as focusing on the fate of the weather forecaster, the musical tells the story of the residents of Napatree, one of the towns worst hit by the hurricane. Although the production is a new work, it has plenty of New York theatre pedigree, as it is written by Michael Holland and Eric Bernat, and directed by Michael Bush. Hurricane opens at the Theatre at St Clements on September 28th 2009 and is booking until October 10th 2009. Late September and early October may be a good time for theatre lovers to book a break at the Millennium Broadway Hotel New York, as it is when the New York Musical Theatre Festival is staged. Other productions in this year's event include Andy Warhol Is Right, The Happy Embalmer and Marrying Meg. Book now for your next getaway in New York at Millennium Broadway Hotel New York
