The Drive-By Truckers will be playing at New York City's trendy Terminal 5 on November 7th, with support from The Hold Steady.

The gig, which is scheduled to start at 8pm, will see the alternative country band from northern Alabama playing hits from their latest album, 2008's Brighter Than Creation's Dark.

That record, which was put out at the beginning of this year, is the eighth studio release from the southern rock band, and contains a much sparser, country sound similar to that of their sophomore release, Pizza Deliverance.

Released as a double vinyl as well as CD, it features the songs Two Daughters and a Beautiful Wife, Self Destructive Zones, The Man I Shot, Checkout Time in Vegas and You and Your Crystal Meth.

Tickets are still available, and are priced at $30 each. Doors open at 7pm so that there is plenty of time to get a good view for the excellent support.
