Gaming enthusiasts thinking of booking a stay at the Millennium Broadway Hotel in New York may be pleased to hear of a new concert dedicated to them.

Video Games Live is set to combine a gaming entertainment experience with live music.

According to thegarden.com, an orchestra will accompany video screen visuals and state-of-the-art lighting, as well as interactive segments in which the audience can become involved.

Among the popular titles to be featured in the concert are Mario, Final Fantasy, Zelda, Sonic and Tomb Raider.

In addition to the show there will be a series of events, including a pre and post concert festival, which will feature games demonstrations, contests and a costume competition.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to meet game developers and designers, the website reports.

Super Mario Brothers, which charts the adventures of two Italian plumbers, was developed by Nintendo and is the second best selling video games of all time, having sold over 40 million copies.

Meanwhile, the Legend of Zelda, is a fantasy action adventure created by the same company, which follows Link on his quest to rescue Princess Zelda.
