The street of Lower Broadway and Second Avenue North are a focal point of the city of Nashville and houses the Bridgestone Arena, the Nashville Convention Center and various honky tonk bars including Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge. In addition, the Ryman Auditorium and the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum are both located just one block away from this road. Bridgestone Arena is an all purpose venue that has been used for professional rodeo, mixed martial arts, figure skating competitions and is the home of the Nashville Predators NHL hockey team. It has also been used for numerous concerts and religious gatherings over the years. NCAA Basketball is played during the exciting "March Madness" including both the women's and men's game.

This downtown Nashville Arena has a varied seating capacity that depends on the type of event that is being hosted. For hockey it can seat up to 17,113, basketball 20,000, half-house concerts 10,000 and center stage concerts 20,000. In addition the center has also been used for various wrestling events that add to the diversity that is possible at this multi-purpose venue.  When in Nashville, there is always an event at Sommet Center, regardless of whether it's a musical performance or a sporting event.

Numerous honky tonk clubs are also housed in this downtown Nashville area, but the most famous of them all is Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge that features a variety of artists that regularly play here. Some of the famous artists who perform include John Stone, Stony Run and Scott Collier.  Another honky tonk, The Stage, was recently featured in the Academy Award nominated film "Country Strong".

Lower Broadway is also used for the CMA Music Festival and becomes packed with a vast array of country music lovers. Over 200 artists attend the festival and take part in numerous autograph sessions as well as meet and greet sessions with fans. At the same time many artists’ fan clubs also convene during this musical festival.

The Nashville Convention Center is housed in this area and provides an excellent venue in which to have business meetings, conferences, exhibitions and tradeshows which makes it ideal for those traveling for business.
