After Christmas has been and gone, and New Year's has been celebrated, the start of January can feel like a bit of a let-down.

As such, anyone looking for something interesting to do while in Cincinnati at the start of 2009 could consider booking tickets to see the Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO).

Due to perform in the city on Friday, January 2nd, the group will be on stage at the US Bank Arena at 3pm.

The price of tickets varies from $38.50 for loge seating in the upper level to $48.50 for floor seating.

Rock orchestra TSO is based in New York and was formed in 1996 by singer Jon Oliva and composers Robert Kinkel and Paul O'Neill.

Drawing on various different styles of music, including classical, heavy metal and prog rock, TSO has a very interesting sound.

They are well known for their unusual takes on Christmas songs and have previously been joined onstage by the likes of Roger Daltry, lead singer of The Who.
