News|Tricky rapping in ChicagoThe British trip-hopper will be playing at the House of Blues on September 8th. The album, Knowle West Boy, is named after the area of Bristol, England, in which he grew up and features a more Blues-like sound than previous recordings. A former collaborator with Massive Attack, Tricky rose to prominence as a solo artist with his 1995 album Maxinquaye. Reaching number three in the UK charts, it also won a host of awards and plaudit. With a reputation for being difficult and adverse to fame, it is no surprise that Tricky has increasingly moved into music production and has written several works for television programmes such as CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and The L Word. The tour represents a rare chance to see a gifted artist truly in his element. Anyone wishing to attend can book into a Chicago hotel for accommodation.
