News|Chicago celebrates Thanksgiving with large paradeTaking place between 08:30 and 11:00 on November 27th, the Chicago Thanksgiving Parade is also watched by more than 1.5 million TV viewers as marchers, floats and costumed dancers bring colour to the streets. Considered one of the best parades in the US, it had more giant inflatable helium balloons last year even than Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York. The largest parade in the Midwest, this year's celebrations will include appearances by the Budweiser Clydesdales, the Barefoot Hawaiians and their flame twirling show and the Galloping Grannies. Those wishing to attend this year's Thanksgiving Parade, which promises to be the biggest ever, can book into a Chicago hotel which will take care of all their accommodation needs.
