CHICAGO (November 20, 2012) – Millennium Knickerbocker Hotel Chicago is getting into the holiday spirit by collecting gifts for local Chicago families and schools in need. As a part of its celebrations, the hotel has invited two local elementary school choral groups to perform holiday songs in the hotel lobby and will be collecting gift donations for the schools.
Hotel guests, neighbors, friends and the community-at-large are being asked to support each of the participating schools by donating new toys, clothes and other gifts for less fortunate students. Donations can be dropped off now until December 15th in the hotel lobby.
The following two elementary schools will participate and bring holiday spirit to the hotel’s main lobby with their performances:
- South Loop Elementary School, Saturday, December 8, 2012 from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm
- Pritzker Elementary School, Saturday, December 15, 2012 from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm
“We are delighted to help those who are in need and assist them in creating a memorable celebration this holiday season,” said James Gould, general manager of the Millennium Knickerbocker Hotel Chicago. “This is a spectacular opportunity to really bring our community together for a great cause.”
Attendees are able to take a leisurely stroll through the Millennium Knickerbocker Hotel’s lobby to admire the festive decorations and drop donations off for the local schools while enjoying holiday entertainment, refreshments and more.
