News|Iron & Wine in Buffalo next monthWith support from experimental folk band Blitzen Trapper, Iron and Wine will be playing hits from his three studio albums, including last year's The Shepherd's Dog. Beam has enjoyed an impressive rise to fame since the release of his 2002 debut, The Creek Drank the Cradle. That album was released to strong critical acclaim, but mainstream success did not follow until his sophomore effort, Our Endless Numbered Days, which was put out two years later. Released, once again to rave reviews, the 2004 full-length was also Beam's first non-solo recording under the Iron & Wine tag. Most recently, he released the folk-rock classic single Lovesong of the Buzzard, one of several excellent songs from The Shepherd's Dog. It is the second single to be released from that album, following the release of Boy with a Coin in 2007 - a song that appeared on the hit TV show Eli Stone.
