News|Buffalo hosts Niagara Fall International MarathonThe 26-mile run, which features more than 5,000 athletes, starts in Buffalo then crosses the Peace Bridge into the historic town of Fort Erie before heading north along the Niagara River Parkway to finish at the majestic Niagara Falls. Hundreds of residents and visitors pave the streets on either side of the route for the race, which has been celebrated by Buffalo for many years. Those wishing to take part in the activity will be interested to know there are also less strenuous events scheduled on October 24th and 25th, including a half marathon, five kilometre and ten kilometre runs as well as a health and fitness expo. The main event starts at 10am and finishes next to Niagara Falls at about 5pm. Anyone taking part in the run or heading to Niagara Falls to watch the athletes can book into a Buffalo hotel for conveniently located accommodation.
