Quicksand are one of the foremost post-hardcore bands in the US and they have reformed this year after a 13-year hiatus from the music industry.

Originally formed in 1990, the band's sound has been compared to that of metal bands Fugazi and Helmet.

The band is back to wow all of its fans with a new tour in the country and they will be playing one gig at the Fonda Theatre next month.

Indeed, the group will only be there for an evening so people will want to make sure they book Los Angeles hotels in advance.

Advance tickets for the January 22nd gig are available from $27.50, while general admission on the night - if there are any tickets left - will be just 50 cents more.

The Millennium Biltmore Hotel Los Angeles could be a great place to stay before and after the gig as it is around 15 minutes' drive away.
