There is no doubt that Anchorage is a hotbed of cultural activity - and this can mean that visitors to the city are completely spoilt for choice when it comes to looking for things to do.

However, if there is one thing that tourists simply cannot afford to miss out on, then the Mez Pottery Sale must surely be it.

It will be taking place at the Tap Root pub on 29th November - and some of the pots and pans on offer are absolutely phenomenal.

All of the pieces are wheel-thrown, as well as being functional examples of pottery that are made using a stoneware clay body fired to cone six.

Those who are travelling to the city to see these materials could do much worse than booking rooms at the Millennium Alaskan Hotel Anchorage.
