News|Make science fun in Anchorage toylandScience in Toyland has been developed by the California Science Centre and utilises classic toys in order to demonstrate scientific principles. The display has been created in order to encourage youngsters to experiment by combining problem solving with the excitement of playing games. Among the toys used in the show are matchbox cars and spinning tops, which may entice those staying at the Millennium Alaskan Hotel. Children can discover the Bernoulli principle by repositioning the sails on a boat or inertia and gravity at the Tournament of Tops spinning competition. They will also be able to get to grips with acceleration and momentum by adjusting a racetrack. Visitors will be able to go along to the museum, located at the Rasmuson Centre, from 9:00am to 18:00pm local time during the summer and 10:00am to 18:00pm in the winter months, with some variations.
