Classical music fans in Jakarta will be able to take advantage of an excellent opportunity to hear a top-class trio - the Abegg Trio.

This group began their career some 30 years ago and have now performed classical music all over the world, receiving large numbers of awards in the process.

The trio comprises of Ulrich Beetz on violin, Birgit Erichson on cello and Gerrit Zitterbart on piano.

Music on the programme includes Joseph Haydn's Londoner Trio from 1795, as well as music by Dmitri Shostakovich and Antonin Dvorak, with anyone who attends surely humming the tunes on the way back to their Jakarta hotel.

They are playing in Jakarta as part of a tour of Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

The performance will take place at GoetheHaus on September 18th, so make sure you make the trip from your Jakarta hotel to hear the wonderful Abegg Trio.
