International Java Jazz Festival is a three day festival featuring a large number of local and international artists on 11 stages in the Jakarta City Centre. This festival catches the attention of tourists from around the globe during March.  

June is also significant for many tourists visiting Jakarta since the Jakarta Anniversary and the Jakarta Fair comes alive in June. The fair which runs almost for seven weeks is clustered with traditional dance and music which the visitors love to capture into a photograph.  

For motor car race lovers the Indonesian Grand Pix in July is a much waited event while the Jakarta Kites Festival is counted on by the kids and the sporty loving visitors. The kite festival signifies one of the favorite past times among the ancient Indonesians which is presently celebrated with much enthusiasm.     

August 17 is an important day for Indonesia, since they celebrate their Independence Day symbolizing the end of the colonial rule. This mega festival celebrated every year, usually takes place at the Merdeka Square 
     
During December the Jakarta International Film Festival known as JiFFest which is the biggest film festival in Indonesia, will fascinate the tourists. At this film festival a variety of movies, both from the local and international film directors are screened.
