Is this the best restaurant in Bangkok? Yes, it probably is as good as that, and something more. Atelier Bangkok is an International Kitchen Theatre.
Atelier is French for "workshop". Hence this restaurant rattles and hums with the sights and sounds of dedicated specialist chefs, including masters of Cantonese and Indian cuisines, creating one original Thai, Indian, Chinese or Western delicacy after another.
All are prepared a-la-minute at gleaming, art-of-life show kitchens. Décor is split level and stylishly decadent with hushed colour tones pierced by stunning shafts of yellow light. Abstract classicism and retro elements are juxtaposed with jewel-like crystal chandeliers, giving an unmistakable impression of sophisticated elegance.
