The Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre is Bangkok's premier exhibition and convention centre, located on Khlong Toei, on Ratchadapisek Road between Sukhumvit Road and Rama IV Road. The convention centre is served by excellent transportation links and the Bangkok Metro subway system even has a stop nearby.
Functional and spacious
Completed in 1991, the Queen Sirikit Centre combines the
functionality of modern architectural design with the aesthetics of
traditional Thai architecture. It is a large spacious complex with
the floor area of the main hall and the compound area amounting to
more than 35,000ft2 (3,250m2).
The plenary hall which is equipped with the latest technology can
hold up to 5,000 people. The hall features a state of the art
shadowless illumination system which can be programmed to provide a
number of lighting effects. A simultaneous interpretation system
that can provide language translation for six languages has also
been installed at the plenary hall.
Well equipped and convenient
The centre also boasts of a well equipped business centre that
provides wireless internet access, voice and data communication and
teleconferencing facilities. A currency exchange, an ATM, a post
office and a convenience store are also located within the
compound.
